At the European day dinner, Mayor Lu Hsiu-yen attended the event with President Lai Ching-te, exchanging greetings with Giuseppe Izzo, Chairman of the European Business Association in Taiwan. The dinner theme, '30 years of advocacy and exchange,' commemorated the publication of the European Chamber of Commerce's first proposal in 1994, with over 800 attendees engaging warmly. Mayor Lu and Giuseppe Izzo had a pleasant interaction and invited each other to visit Taichung. Taichung plays a significant role in the global supply chain, actively assisting industry players to reduce carbon emissions and promote a green supply chain in response to the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. The city has been implementing sustainable low-carbon policies, aiming to deepen ties and create more cooperation opportunities with European representatives.
