Notable moments from the second week include scenes featuring Tang Yan saving Hu Ge, Xin Zhilei negotiating at a round table, and a cameo from a famous Hong Kong star. Veteran actor Chung Chun-to revealed that Wong Kar-wai personally chose him for a role in the series, symbolizing a tribute to the late superstar Leslie Cheung, as Cheung played Chung's disciple in the 1995 film 'Drunken Feast', adding to the Easter eggs in 'Blooming Flowers'.
