A serious accident occurred in Taichung, Taiwan on June 18, 2024, when a cement mixer truck suspected of brake failure crashed down from an overpass, rolling over and hitting a car and a motorcycle, resulting in five minor injuries. The incident left the scene in chaos, with the truck overturned and leaking oil, the car severely damaged, and the motorcycle pinned underneath, but thankfully the rider escaped with only minor knee scrapes. The driver of the cement truck and a passenger were also injured, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
