The Central Weather Bureau issued a heavy rain warning for 13 counties and cities in central and northern Taiwan, with the likelihood of localized heavy rain in areas like Taoyuan, Hualien, and Taitung due to active convective cloud systems. A special advisory for heavy rain in mountainous areas of Hualien County until tomorrow, along with caution for thunderstorms, strong gusts, landslides, rockfalls, and flash floods, was also issued. Additionally, thunderstorm alerts were issued for Hualien and Taitung counties until 10:45 pm. Residents are advised to be vigilant against severe rain, lightning, rising river levels, flooding in low-lying areas, and poor visibility.
