In an effort called 'Road Safety General Mobilization,' Taiwan's Ministry of Transportation presented key short-term initiatives to enhance road safety. By September, 500 intersections will be improved, totaling 2000 by year's end, with 200 school areas expected to be enhanced. Additionally, by year's end, the Ministry of the Interior will establish 175 high-tech enforcement locations. Emphasizing cooperation between central and local governments, the focus is on improving pedestrian safety infrastructure and intersection projects, setting targets for completion by specific deadlines to ensure a safer road environment. Various guidelines and platforms are being developed to facilitate communication and feedback between citizens and authorities, making road safety a collective effort and emphasizing citizen input as a driving force in improving safety measures.
