Due to the vigorous development of afternoon convective cloud systems, the Central Weather Bureau has issued heavy rain advisories for Keelung City, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Taichung City, Nantou County, Yilan County, and Hualien County on June 23, 2024. At the same time, immediate thunderstorm alerts have been issued for Taipei City and New Taipei City, lasting until 15:15, warning the public to beware of lightning and strong gusts, and advising caution against landslides, falling rocks, and flash floods in mountainous areas. Heavy rain advisories cover 9 counties and cities.
