On June 26, 2024, at 3:25 am, the Central Weather Bureau issued an immediate warning for 'Yilan County' for severe thunderstorms, lasting until 3:30 pm; cautioning against heavy rainfall, lightning strikes, rapid river swelling, and low visibility in the region. The areas under warning include Yilan County: Yuanshan Township, Sanxing Township, Datong Township, and Nan'ao Township.
