CFTC Asks Robinhood to Suspend Super Bowl Betting Contracts

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) formally requested that Robinhood Markets Inc. halt its offerings for traders to bet on the Super Bowl scheduled for February 9. Robinhood expressed disappointment over the CFTC's concerns and announced the suspension of its Pro Football Championship market, stating that access had been provided to only about 1% of its customers. The company plans to allow those who placed trades to either close their positions or resolve them.
