It has been a month since Lai Ching-te and Cho Rong-tae assumed office, with their new team still in the process of getting familiar with each other. The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) sees the new administration facing challenges in leading amidst controversies over parliamentary authority reforms since President Lai took office. There is a need for more effective leadership and communication within the ruling team, as well as adjustments to face the looming challenges ahead. While some DPP members are patient with President Lai, the opposition Kuomintang also acknowledges the need for a more stable operational approach in the new parliamentary term starting in September.
