Since the 403 earthquake, the attention has shifted to assessing the number of old houses in Taiwan. However, the process of rebuilding, also known as urban renewal, is proving to be quite challenging as residents expect a direct swap of property without considering existing laws and regulations, building costs, and other factors. The path to demolishing and constructing aged buildings is indeed a lengthy and complicated process due to various obstacles such as legal complexities, unfamiliarity with regulations, and concerns over property rights and building specifications.
