Legislative Yuan President Han Kuo-yu has been highly discussed among supporters from the blue camp, with some even voicing support for Han to compete for the KMT chairmanship. Former DPP legislator Shen Fu-hsiung believes that Han's favorable days may not last long, pointing out that if 'these three people,' namely former President Ma Ying-jeou, chairman Eric Chu, and KMT caucus convener Lu Hsin-huei, do not step down, the KMT will have no future. Shen asserts that if Han Kuo-yu still hopes to run for KMT chairman or even for president, 'he will waver,' as he might not withstand the pressure from the deep blue camp, ultimately leaving the party with no future if Han, Lu, and Chu do not retire.
