According to Taiwan Television News on the morning of July 5, 2024, the transition of Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall has been a topic of interest. The Ministry of Culture proposed that the military drill teams would be relocated from the hall, with future performances possibly taking place at Liberty Square outside, eliminating guard duties. Contingency plans for rain performances will follow the model of Martyrs' Shrine and will not include drill displays. The Executive Yuan revealed that the transition may not go through the Transitional Justice Committee and could be decided by the Ministry of National Defense and Ministry of Culture.
