Recent discussions on the withdrawal of military drill teams from the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall have garnered attention. It is reported that the military drill teams are expected to move out of the main building of the Memorial Hall and will now demonstrate duties along Democracy Boulevard starting from the duty rooms, with no longer standing guard afterwards. During rainy days, they will follow a similar pattern as at the Martyrs' Shrine and not perform duty displays. This change was proposed as part of the transformation plan for the Memorial Hall by the Ministry of Culture during inter-ministry meetings. While there are still differences from public expectations and civil society committee goals in transitional justice, the government will continue to listen to public opinions to advance the process.
