On June 26, 2024, at 10:00 pm, a fire broke out in a building on Qingping Road in Anping District, Tainan City, causing thick smoke to billow out. The Tainan City Fire Department immediately dispatched 14 and 28 fire trucks for rescue operations. Despite efforts, two women were injured inhaling smoke, suspected to be caused by a charging-related incident. The fire burned a hole in the floor, prompting residents to use a fire extinguisher. The women, aged 23 and 53, were hospitalized for smoke inhalation but are in stable condition. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
