On July 3, 2024, at 3:14 am, a chemical factory on Industrial Road 2 in Linyuan, Kaohsiung, experienced a workplace accident, with four individuals suffering burns from a high-pressure steam leak believed to be from benzophenone reboiler. The fire department responded to the incident where no fire was detected. Further investigation is needed to clarify the details of the incident.
