Chen Ting-fei, a DPP legislator, was criticized for not following the '5+1 model' and registering her own group separately for the elections, but she defended the move by emphasizing that they are all part of the DPP. The situation arose due to conflicts over party nominations for certain positions and the upcoming mayoral elections in Tainan.
