Taipei Health Bureau's Health Management Section Chief Lin Xuelan stated that they received the complaint and will request information from the individual's registered residence. If found true, they will proceed with legal penalties. This incident follows a recent case where DPP caucus leader Ke Jianming was fined 2,000 New Taiwan Dollars for smoking during a party meeting. The legislative building is considered a smoke-free area according to the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act.
