Chevron's License Cancellation May Pave Way for New Oil Export Agreements in Venezuela

Reported about 15 hours ago

The termination of Chevron's operating license in Venezuela could open the door to new negotiations for oil exports between the company and Venezuelan state oil firm PDVSA, as the U.S. government takes a tougher stance on the Maduro administration. This includes reversing licenses for several companies linked to the regime amid ongoing concerns over political reforms. As of now, oil exports to the U.S. continue as scheduled, but shifts in sourcing strategies from U.S. refineries are already occurring.
