Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Three Military Honor Guards to Stop Standing Sentry, Intending to Change Operations to Democracy Boulevard, Implementation Possible by September at the Earliest

Reported about 1 year ago

The issue of transforming the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall has attracted attention. Yesterday the Executive Yuan listened to reports on the progress of transitional justice affairs from various ministries. The Ministry of Culture proposed that the three military honor guards withdraw from the memorial hall and in the future, duty displays will be conducted on Democracy Boulevard outside the hall with no more standing sentries. Discussions are ongoing on transitioning operations to Liberty Square. The timeline will be determined by the Ministry of Culture, with implementation possibly not needing to wait until the October transitional justice meeting but can be decided directly by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Culture.
