During the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Whampoa Military Academy, Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an highlighted the relationship between the academy and the Republic of China, stating that the legitimacy of Whampoa lies where the Republic of China exists. The special exhibition 'Spirit of the Times of Whampoa's Establishment' was attended by Chiang Wan-an, who emphasized the academy's role in cultivating military talents and upholding principles such as sacrifice, unity, and responsibility in defending the Republic of China, democracy, and Chinese culture.
