Kansas City Chiefs' defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs turned himself in to police after being charged with two counts of second-degree animal cruelty for leaving two dogs without food or water for up to 10 days on a property he was renting. Buggs also faces accusations of menacing, assault, and city code infractions at his hookah lounge business, as well as an incident where he allegedly shoved the Tuscaloosa police chief. His agent denied the charges, claiming Buggs is the victim of a targeted campaign. The Chiefs' offseason has been marred by various legal issues involving players, culminating in a tumultuous lead-up to their season opener against the Baltimore Ravens.
