On the afternoon of June 16th, a 5-story under-construction building in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, was reported to have a child playing on its rooftop without any safety measures in place. Local councilor Huang Chiung-hui criticized the situation as outrageous and called for stricter supervision of construction sites. Authorities have inspected the site and fined the construction company and subcontractors for violating safety regulations, while ordering a halt to the rooftop operations. The child was brought to the site by a subcontractor due to school closure, highlighting negligence towards safety protocols.
