Chile's economy expanded by 1% in July, the fastest growth in six months, as it is projected that the central bank will reduce interest rates to bolster growth. This increase follows a challenging second quarter where GDP fell by 0.6%. Year-over-year activity rose by 4.2%, surpassing analyst forecasts, prompting optimism for a continued economic recovery and potential GDP growth of between 2.5% and 3% in 2024.
