A serious train collision occurred in Chile where a train undergoing tests collided with another train carrying passengers and cargo, resulting in at least 2 deaths and 9 injuries. The incident took place in the capital Santiago as the trains were speeding, with one carrying 8 carriages of copper ore and passengers, while the other was conducting speed tests with 10 staff onboard. Despite severe injuries, the 4 injured Chinese nationals are not in critical condition. Investigations are ongoing, suspecting a malfunction in the railway signaling system. Train services in Santiago have been temporarily suspended following the accident.
