China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Eight Institute successfully completed the first 10-kilometer-class vertical landing flight test of China's reusable launch vehicle at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, laying a solid technical foundation for China's first flight of a 4-meter-class reusable rocket by 2025. The rocket used in this test had a diameter of 3.8 meters, three 70-ton liquid oxygen methane engines, and a full-size landing buffer system, with the entire test process lasting about 6 minutes. Following a successful test, China showcased significant progress in reusable rocket technology, narrowing the gap with global aerospace leaders and fostering future advancements in reusable rocket technology.
