China's Commerce Ministry attributed the ongoing chaos in the global semiconductor supply chain to the Netherlands' recent seizure of Chinese-owned chipmaker Nexperia. Following national security concerns, the Dutch government took control of Nexperia, leading to export restrictions and disruptions that threaten global auto production. As Nexperia's operations were affected, concerns grew over the ability to deliver crucial semiconductor components, prompting China to respond with its own restrictions on chip shipments. The two nations are now engaged in discussions to find a resolution.
