China and the European Union are open to discussing the EU's decision to increase tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles. This decision comes after the EU announced plans to raise tariffs by 17.4% to 38.1% on EV imports from China, citing concerns about unfair subsidies that disadvantage European automakers. Both China and the EU are willing to engage in talks to address this trade dispute before the provisional tariffs are implemented on July 4. German officials emphasized the importance of finding a resolution in the coming weeks.
