China has suspended soybean shipments from five Brazilian firms, including Terra Roxa, Olam Brasil, C.Vale, Cargill, and ADM, after discovering that some cargoes failed to meet phytosanitary standards due to chemical contamination and pest issues. The suspension, which began on January 8 and continued with additional firms on January 14, raises concerns over Brazil's ability to quickly address these issues.
