China has announced anti-dumping duties reaching up to 74.9% on imports of POM copolymers, a type of engineering plastic, from the United States, EU, Japan, and Taiwan. This decision follows a probe initiated after the U.S. raised tariffs on Chinese goods, and the new duties vary from 34.5% on EU imports to 35.5% on Japanese products, while Taiwan faces a general rate of 32.6%. This move comes amid attempts to ease trade tensions between the U.S. and China.
