China Mobile is in talks to acquire Hong Kong broadband provider HKBN Ltd. for at least HK$5 per share, potentially valuing the company at over HK$6.5 billion. The discussions involve major shareholders MBK Partners and TPG Inc., and while due diligence has been conducted, the outcome remains uncertain, as other potential buyers may emerge. HKBN has seen its shares climb 24% this year, leading to a market valuation of about HK$5.7 billion.
