During a youth exchange event in Taiwan, Chinese actor Hu Ge was reportedly forbidden from mentioning keywords such as 'Shanghai' and 'Flowers Bloom' during the discussion, sparking controversy. The Mainland Affairs Council clarified that such restrictions would only be imposed by 'cement-headed' individuals, adding that they had approved Hu Ge's visit for film and television exchanges, including discussions on his popular work 'Flowers Bloom'. Council vice chairman Liang Wen-jie noted that the actor's visit was brief, lasting only 19 hours, and questioned why it was organized by a media association instead of the platform releasing 'Flowers Bloom'. Liang also addressed suspicions about potential cultural propaganda behind the visit, stating that the Council is sensitive to such tactics and finds Hu Ge's limited activities in Taiwan surprising.
