From the first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, who unified China and established the imperial title, to the abdication of the last emperor of the Xuantong era, China's feudal history spanned 2132 years, encompassing 24 dynasties and producing a total of 494 emperors. Among these rulers, only four have left a lasting legacy: Qin Shi Huang for unifying the nation, Han Wu Di for implementing the civil service examination system and expanding the empire's influence, Tang Taizong for his military prowess and expansion of territory, and Kangxi for consolidating Qing dynasty rule and integrating Tibet, Xinjiang, and Mongolia into modern China's territory.
