China's First Industrial Nuclear Power for Steam Project 'Heqi No. 1' Officially Completed

On June 19, China's first industrial nuclear power for steam project, 'Heqi No. 1,' was officially completed and put into operation at the Tianwan Nuclear Power Base under the China National Nuclear Corporation (Stock code: 601985). This marks the comprehensive utilization of nuclear energy in China expanding into the industrial steam supply field, providing 4.8 million tons of zero-carbon clean steam annually to the Lianyungang Petrochemical Base. This project not only opens up a new path for the green upgrade of traditional industries with nuclear energy but also injects stronger momentum into the high-quality development of regional economy. The project utilizes the steam turbines of Units 3 and 4 at the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant to generate industrial steam for the petrochemical industry, reducing carbon emissions and saving energy compared to traditional coal consumption.
