China's Geely to launch hybrids with more fuel-efficient engines

China's Geely Holding Group announced the launch of hybrid models in the upcoming year featuring a next-generation engine with improved fuel efficiency. Geely's new engine boasts a thermal efficiency of up to 46.1%, significantly reducing fuel consumption and increasing driving range. The hybrids will be introduced in Geely Auto's Galaxy series and Lynk & Co brand, aligning with the growing popularity of plug-in hybrids in China. BYD also recently unveiled hybrid sedans with advanced hybrid technology, further intensifying competition in the market.
