China's 'monster ship' anchored in South China Sea, intimidating Philippines

Reported about 1 year ago

The Philippine Coast Guard reported that China's largest coastguard vessel, a 165-meter 'monster ship,' has anchored in Manila's exclusive economic zone (EEZ) within the South China Sea to intimidate its smaller Asian neighbor. The Chinese vessel entered the Philippine's EEZ on July 2, and even after being warned by the PCG, it remained anchored near their vessel. This incident is part of the ongoing territorial disputes in the region, with China engaging in extensive land reclamation activities that have raised concerns among neighboring countries and the US.
