On June 9th in Taiwan, a retired Chinese naval officer landed a boat in Danshui, which was deemed a spontaneous act by the Taiwan Affairs Office. Similarly, the office labeled the drone incident where political leaflets were airdropped over Kinmen as also a spontaneous act. The Office spokesperson stated that these actions were expressions of the mainland Chinese citizens' desire for reunification and opposition to Taiwanese independence, emphasizing they were not orchestrated by Beijing but should still comply with laws and regulations.
