China to restrict exports of aviation and aerospace equipment

Reported 4 months ago

China's Commerce Ministry announced that starting from July 1, 2024, it will impose controls on the exports of certain aviation and aerospace-related equipment and technology to safeguard national security and fulfill international obligations. The restrictions will be applied to aircraft and aerospace engines, parts, manufacturing equipment, software, and technology, affecting items like materials bonded with titanium and aluminum. The move is in response to increasing global efforts to limit exports of products vital to national security, with the impact on China's aviation industry yet to be fully determined.
