The US has notified China of the sale of F-16 aircraft parts valued at around $300 million to Taiwan, marking the 14th arms sale to Taiwan by the Biden administration. In response, China's Ministry of National Defense spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang demanded the US to retract the arms sale plan to maintain overall military relations. China condemns the sale as a violation of its sovereignty and security interests and warns that supporting Taiwan independence could heighten tensions in the Taiwan Strait and harm the US itself. The Chinese PLA continues to strengthen military readiness to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
