Chinese Actors Discuss Filming Experiences at Cross-Strait Film Festival in Taiwan

At the 15th Cross-Strait Film Festival held in Taoyuan, mainland Chinese actors Zhang Yi and Wei Chen shared their experiences in Taiwan. Zhang Yi, known for his roles in 'The Eight Hundred' and 'The Enigma of Arrival,' expressed his gratitude towards Taiwanese fans and his emotional connection to Taoyuan where he filmed a decade ago. Wei Chen praised Taiwanese actor Ruan Jingtian's performances in 'The Bold, the Corrupt, and the Beautiful' and 'Monga,' emphasizing the importance of continuously challenging oneself in the industry. The actors also discussed their collaboration in the film 'The Third Squad,' portraying the journey of five policemen pursuing a criminal over 12 years. Zhang Yi was particularly moved by the support from Taiwan and highlighted the influence of music on his acting skills. Wei Chen mentioned their mutual respect and learning experiences while working together on various projects.
