Chinese Civil Aircraft Fly over Kinmen Airspace; Premier Su Tseng-chang: Did Not Enter Final Terminal Control Area

Reported 8 months ago

On June 17, 2024, multiple Chinese civil aircraft flew over the airspace of Kinmen, arousing attention. Premier Su Tseng-chang stated in an interview that if any anomalies occurred, the military would be in clear control. The incident was due to weather conditions, and after communication between Chinese air traffic control and Taiwan, there was a slight change in the flight path. The government was fully informed and demanded that under such circumstances, entry into the final terminal control areas of Kinmen and Matsu should not be allowed. Premier Su Tseng-chang attended the Legislative Yuan on the 18th to report on policies and answer questions, with relevant agencies' heads in attendance. The premier reassured the public that there were no problems and that the military would continue to monitor similar cases closely.
