Chinese Coast Guard forcefully inspected and took back Penghu fishing boat, Taiwan Coast Guard dispatched multiple patrol boats for support

On July 2, 2024, at 10:49 am, the Penghu fishing boat, Da Jin Man 88, was forcefully inspected by Chinese Coast Guard ships while fishing outside Kinmen, and was taken back to China. This incident is part of a series of intrusions by Chinese Coast Guard ships in Taiwan's waters, with frequent occurrences in Kinmen and even involving inspection of a Kinmen sightseeing cruise. The Taiwan Coast Guard has established a crisis command center and deployed patrol boats to intercept the situation. The fishing boat carried both the Taiwanese captain and 5 foreign migrant workers, and after the inspection, it was taken back to a naval base in China's Fujian province.
