On June 20th, two separate incidents at a Shanghai chain coffee shop involving disputes between employees and customers were caught on camera and went viral online. The incidents included a male employee slapping a female customer and a female employee throwing coffee powder at a customer. Reports suggest that the brand's rapid expansion may be causing immense pressure on store staff, leading to such conflicts. The incidents occurred at two Manner Coffee shops in Shanghai, with both cases later resolved with apologies and the dismissal of the female employee involved in the second incident.
