National Security Bureau Chief Cai Mingyan presented a special report at the Legislative Yuan addressing recent actions by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to infiltrate Taiwan, focusing on the CCP's patterns of infiltration and Taiwan's response. The report highlights CCP tactics such as gathering intelligence, developing organizational officials, engaging in technology theft and poaching talents, and intervening in elections. It also mentions an increase in the number of national security cases involving CCP activities in Taiwan, posing a significant challenge to national security. The report outlines four main patterns of CCP infiltration and proposes countermeasures that involve enhancing information collection capabilities to combat illegal actions by the CCP.
