Two Chinese executives working in the Philippines were kidnapped immediately after landing, with their families paying a ransom of 3 million RMB, but they were still killed. The Chinese embassy in the Philippines confirmed the kidnapping and deaths, urging the quick arrest of suspects. The victims were invited by a supposed Filipino agent met at a European summit, only to be kidnapped upon arrival in the Philippines. Despite efforts, the victims were tragically killed, leading to diplomatic negotiations by the Chinese embassy with the Philippine government.
