A Chinese influencer surnamed Kong living in Paris for nine years was found to have been the mastermind behind a heist involving luxury goods, including over a hundred Hermès and Louis Vuitton bags and watches, from a delivery truck in Paris, resulting in a loss of 1.5 million euros. Kong, known on social media for flaunting luxury goods, had even arranged for the theft by covertly placing GPS trackers on the items she purchased for clients, allowing thieves to stage a robbery by posing as French police officers. Kong's husband took the blame in court, receiving a 5-year sentence with 2 years suspended, while Kong's social media accounts have since been closed.
