During the recording of a political talk show in Taiwan, it was revealed that a Chinese Xinhua News Agency journalist was involved in the production process and monitoring activities in the studio, sparking controversy. The host of the show, Liu Baojie, expressed anger and threatened legal action against the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for any further insinuations or false accusations. Despite the journalist leaving Taiwan quietly, Liu demanded accountability from the DPP and emphasized that their television station had taken necessary measures to address the situation. He criticized the DPP for what he perceived as a move by the national security unit, demanding clear answers and warning of legal action if their news program was implicated again.
