Coast Guard Administration announced penalties for 10 individuals, including reprimands and demerits, for the breach. Legislator Luo Zhiqiang criticized the DPP for easily allowing breaches in Taiwan's maritime defense, citing recent incidents of Chinese nationals infiltrating. He questioned the DPP's ability to combat Chinese military provocations and stated that a small boat could easily breach their defenses.
