According to a report, Chinese Communist Party media has been monitoring political talk shows on Taiwanese TV stations, even influencing the themes and scripts, with Xinhua News Agency reporters present during recordings. If found violating regulations, the National Communications Commission (NCC) could issue fines up to 2 million NTD and suspend the program. Veteran media figure Liu Baojie criticized this interference, emphasizing Taiwan's freedom and democracy. He remarked that if his show allowed mainland Chinese reporters to monitor and criticize, they might as well arrest him, stating he would not yield to any external pressure.
