Chinese Military Conducts 'Surrounding Taiwan on All Sides' Exercise Twice in One Week, Defence Ministry Urges Adaptation

Reported 9 months ago

The Chinese mainland's coast guard ships have intruded into restricted waters twice in a month, with the latest incident only 5 nautical miles away from Kinmen and staying for about 2 hours. The Taiwan Defence Ministry disclosed the latest military movements of the CCP's People Liberation Army, emphasizing the need for quick response capabilities. The mainland's Defence Ministry spokesperson, Wu Qian, mentioned during a press conference that 'surrounding Taiwan on all sides' is something that needs adaptation. Wu also addressed the Democratic Progressive Party, stating that as long as they refrain from pursuing Taiwan independence, there is no need to be fearful. The military exercises were clarified to target pro-independence forces and activities rather than the people of Taiwan.
