A senior monk in mainland China has been accused of deceiving a female devotee into a 'dual cultivation' under the guise of 'attaining Buddhahood' and 'delivering the deceased' for a period of 5 years, treating her as a tool for his desires. The victim, a 34-year-old woman, eventually came forward to expose the monk's actions, leading to widespread attention. The county religious affairs bureau denied the woman's accusations, stating that they have reported the case to the police.
